Itinerary

We depart from Ulaanbaatar and drive toward Bayangobi, continuing to 2 Zagal Lodge. Along the way, we visit Erdenekhamba Monastery and have an opportunity to experience the surrounding landscape and local nomadic culture. We then visit a nomadic family and enjoy camel riding on the sand dunes before settling in for the evening.

Meals: Lunch / Dinner

After breakfast, we continue our journey to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Upon arrival, we visit the historic Erdene Zuu Monastery and the Kharakhorum Museum, exploring the rich history and heritage of the former imperial capital. The day also includes a traditional calligraphy lesson before we settle in for the evening.

Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival in the capital, an arrival transfer will be provided, marking the end of this short historical journey connecting Mongolia’s ancient imperial heritage with its Buddhist cultural traditions.
