Upon your arrival at Ulaanbaatar International Airport, you will be warmly met and greeted by our team before transferring to your hotel for check-in and some time to refresh. We then begin our city tour with a visit to Sukhbaatar Square, the vibrant heart of the capital, surrounded by key government buildings and cultural landmarks. From here, we continue on foot to the nearby Chinggis Khan National Museum, where the highlight is the impressive pure golden statue of the Great Khan, inaugurated in March 2025, offering deep insight into Mongolia’s rich imperial history. After lunch, we proceed to Gandan Monastery, the country’s most important active Buddhist center, home to the towering Migjid Janraisig statue and a peaceful complex where monks continue their daily prayers, providing a glimpse into Mongolia’s spiritual life. In the evening, we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel for overnight.

After breakfast, we head to Bayangobi, famously known as the “mini Gobi,” where the golden sands of Elsen Tasarkhai appear unexpectedly amid green steppe and rolling hills, forming what is considered the northernmost sand dune area on earth. We arrive at the ger camp by lunchtime and enjoy a relaxed meal before taking a short drive to the dunes in the afternoon. Here, we explore the area with gentle hiking across the soft sands and visit a local nomad family, traditional camel breeders, to learn about their desert-adapted lifestyle, herding practices, and daily life on the steppe. We then experience camel riding, a classic and memorable way to enjoy the unique landscape, before returning to the ger camp for dinner and an overnight stay under the vast Mongolian sky.

Today we do a day trip to Kharkhorin, once the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire, where we begin with a visit to Erdene Zuu Monastery, the oldest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, founded in the 16th century using stones from the ruins of ancient Karakorum and enclosed by 108 white stupas that symbolize spiritual protection and harmony. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant in the town, we continue to the Kharkhorin Museum, whose exhibits and archaeological discoveries vividly reveal the history of Karakorum, the rise of the Mongol Empire, and the legacy of Chinggis Khan’s era. Later, we hike up Khaadiin Khaad Hill, rewarded with sweeping panoramic views over the iconic Orkhon Valley, a landscape deeply tied to nomadic civilization and imperial history. In the evening, we drive back to the ger camp and arrive by dinnertime for a relaxing overnight stay.

After breakfast, we drive back to Ulaanbaatar, stopping en route at the Mongol Nomadic Ger Camp for lunch. After the meal, we enjoy a special cultural highlight—the iconic Mongol Nomadic Show, a lively open-air performance that brings Mongolia’s nomadic heritage to life through traditional costumes, horse skills, herding techniques, archery, yak and camel presentations, and demonstrations of daily nomadic life passed down through generations. We then continue our drive to the city, where the late afternoon is free for shopping for souvenirs, fine cashmere, handicrafts, and local gifts.
