Itinerary
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Day 1
Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, enjoy lunch at one of the selected local restaurants. Continue with a visit to the Bogd Khan’s Winter Palace Museum, followed by a visit to Zaisan Hill Monument, offering a panoramic view of the city. In the evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner before settling into your accommodation.
Terelj National Park & Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex
Day 2
After breakfast, drive approximately 54 km to Tsonjin Boldog and visit the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, recognized as the world’s largest equestrian statue. Continue to Terelj National Park, where you will visit a nomadic family and experience traditional dairy product making. Later, visit Aryapala Meditation Temple before spending the night surrounded by the natural landscapes of Terelj.
Baga Gazryn Chuluu Nature Reserve
Day 3
Travel to Baga Gazryn Chuluu Nature Reserve, known for its impressive granite rock formations. Visit the ruins of Lovonchamba Monastery and explore the surrounding natural landscapes, including the area’s eye-healing mineral water. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this unique natural and historical site before staying overnight in the area.
Journey to the Gobi Desert
Day 4
Continue the journey towards Ömnögovi Province, traveling deeper into the landscapes of the Gobi Desert. Upon arrival, visit the Ömnögovi Province Museum and learn more about the local history and heritage before settling into your accommodation.
Flaming Cliffs & Khongor Sand Dunes
Day 5
Drive towards the spectacular Khongor Sand Dunes. Along the way, visit the famous Flaming Cliffs, an important paleontological site. Continue to a camel-breeding family and experience a camel ride. In the evening, climb to the top of the Khongor Sand Dunes and enjoy the sunset over the vast Gobi landscape.
Yol Valley
Day 5
Travel to Yol Valley and visit the local Yol Valley Museum before exploring the valley on foot. Enjoy a hike through the dramatic landscape of the Gobi Gurvansaikhan region, surrounded by the distinctive scenery of Yol Valley.
Return to Ulaanbaatar
Day 7
Take a flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, visit the Paleontological Museum in Hunnu Mall and continue to a factory to witness how Mongolian cashmere is made. Enjoy a free afternoon in the city before returning to the hotel for dinner.
Khovd Province & Gurvan Senkher Cave
Day 8-9
Fly to Khovd Province and continue by road towards Gurvan Senkher Cave. Visit the cave and explore the remnants of ancient humans found in the area. Continue exploring the ruins associated with the Qin Dynasty era in Mongolia before settling into the nearby accommodation
Tolbo Lake
Day 10
Drive towards the beautiful Tolbo Lake, surrounded by the vast landscapes of western Mongolia. During the day, take part in a traditional food cooking lesson and experience an element of local culinary culture.
Bayan-Ulgii & Eagle Hunters
Day 11
Visit the Bayan-Ulgii Province Museum before continuing to Sagsai town. Enjoy lunch with a Kazakh family and learn about the traditional culture and lifestyle of nomadic eagle hunters. This experience offers an opportunity to discover the living cultural heritage of the Kazakh community in western Mongolia.
Golden Eagle Festival
Day 12-13
Spend the day attending the world-famous Golden Eagle Festival. Witness the traditional hunting skills of Kazakh eagle hunters and experience a remarkable celebration of their culture, traditions, and heritage.
Return to Ulaanbaatar
Day 14
Fly back to Ulaanbaatar and continue with a visit to a traditional musical instrument factory. Meet with a shaman and experience traditional music and dance performances. In the evening, gather for a Farewell Dinner, bringing the journey to a memorable close.
