Itinerary

Ulaanbaatar – Horse Trekking Start Point – Tuul River Camp

Day 1

In the early morning, we depart from Ulaanbaatar by vehicle and drive to the starting point of our horse trekking adventure. Upon arrival, guests will select their horses, receive a route briefing and safety instructions, and load the necessary gear onto pack horses before setting off. Today’s ride covers approximately 3 hours of horse trekking, allowing time to adjust to riding and enjoy the surrounding landscapes. In the late afternoon, we arrive at our tent camp along the scenic banks of the Tuul River, where we relax and enjoy our first night in nature.

Day 2

After breakfast, we load all gear onto the pack horses and continue our journey deeper into the wilderness. Riding through picture-perfect landscapes, we pass through a true mountain paradise, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the crystal-clear water along the way. In the late afternoon, we arrive at a scenic mountain lake, where we set up camp for the night. As evening falls, we gather around an open campfire, sharing warm conversations under the stars before resting in the peaceful silence of nature.

Arrival at Kherkhluur Sardyk & the Twin Lakes – Mongolia’s Yosemite

Day 3

Today, we finally reach our long-awaited destination — Kherkhluur Sardyk and the Twin Lakes, a spectacular mountain formation often referred to as “Mongolia’s Yosemite. ” Surrounded by dramatic peaks and pristine nature, this place offers a deep sense of physical and spiritual relaxation, allowing us to truly slow down and reconnect with ourselves and the land. Upon arrival, we celebrate our journey with a traditional Mongolian steppe-style meal. As night falls, we gather for a campfire celebration with music and dance, gazing up at a sky so clear that the millions of stars feel close enough to touch. We have arrived.

Rest Day & Exploration at Kherkhluur Sardyk

Day 4

Today is a full rest day with no horse trekking, giving us time to slow down and truly connect with our surroundings. We set out on a hike toward the summit of Kherkhluur Sardyk, discovering extraordinary rock formations and unique alpine vegetation rarely seen elsewhere. Another highlight of the day is visiting a small waterfall that marks the source of the Tuul River, where we pause for a quiet moment of reflection, reconnecting the timeless bond between human and nature. In the morning, as we open the doors of our tents, we finally understand why we came to this place.

Scenic Helicopter Return – A Farewell from the Sky

Day 5

On the final day of our journey, the return experience is exceptional and deeply comfortable. We wake up naturally, with no alarms, enjoy a refreshing dip in the clear waters of the lake, sip hot coffee, and capture our final memories as a helicopter arrives to take us home. After three days of horse trekking, the landscapes we explored and felt from the saddle now unfold beneath us from the sky. A breathtaking aerial perspective offers a powerful sense of closure to the journey. Isn’t it incredible?
